Avoid Placement Scams

Avoid Placement Scams

What I’ve noticed over the years with society is we have a ton of double standards. The one that drives me crazy is how magazines, websites, people, and businesses charge the up and coming people ridiculous prices for placement. My issue with this is that you guys, YES YOU GUYS!!! Post established artist and entertainers for free. Are you really getting recognition from these people? To answer the question, no. These big names couldn’t give two shits that you posted their work. For us chasing our dreams it could mean the world to us, so why charge us inflated prices? Are we really going to get a return on our investment? No, we just get posted up with no backing from the person or entity. We’re just a quick revenue stream to boost their sales. I think we need to re-evaluate a few things. You guys make the rich richer and the poor poorer. Why should I pay $300 to post my song that I worked, wrote, recorded, and produced on your page or site for minimum to no feedback? You’ll take my hard earned money and half ass throw it up there, but go above and beyond for someone who doesn’t care nor pay for your services. Will we get views, fans, hell a retweet, IG Shout out, no because we aren’t “news worthy” enough. The same people that say things like that promote others for free and receive nothing in return. Maybe even a like on a good day. What I’m saying is we have to fight the machine and build something for us to utilize to reach our goals and not break the bank in the process. This even goes for social media platforms, we give them our time, energy, and intimate moments and they can’t do simple things. I’m talking like features available for everyone not just those that reach a certain limit. Verification will be something else to discuss in the near future, because they can verify our information, and money for ads, but can’t verify we’re real people. This is just something to think over everyone. Best regards Dre Wells
